Chuck-A-Luck

Chuck-A-Luck  was a game played by the cowboys and other non-professional gamblers. The game originally used a funnel shaped object made of tin that looked like a horn. The Professional Gamblers tended to refer to those who played the game as " Tin Horn Gamblers " because the game required no skill to play.

The rules of the game were very simple. Put your money on any number or numbers from one to six. The dealer would turn the cage and the three dice would drop. If your number appeared on any of the dice you won. The payout was one-to-one.

If the odds weren't bad enough many of these games were rigged with loaded dice and magnets. The dealer could determine what numbers turned up on the dice at any time.

This game was still being played in Vegas at New York New York. If you find yourself in town stop by and give this game a try.
