Another banking game was Red and Black (also known as Rouge Et Noir). All the equipment needed for this simple game was the appropriate layout,
dealing box, chips and a complete deck of 52 cards.
The cards were placed face down in the box. A "run" consisted of dealing two cards face down and a third card face up. The "up" card is the winning card.
Bets are made in either one of four ways; on "red", on "black", on a "Jack" or on all the "Jacks". If the Players color hits he is paid one-to-one. If a Player hits his Jack he is paid 10-to-1 and if he hits any Jack he is paid 2-to-1.
After the bets were placed, a "run" is made and stakes are paid to the winners and collected from the losers.
